What’s New in 6.4.0

Asset checks can now record readings and dates, such as extinguisher pressure or defibrillator pad expiry, and lift and trail checks now work everywhere asset checks do.

✨ New Features

  • Number and date answers on check steps: A check step can now ask for a number, such as a pressure reading, or a date, such as an expiry date, instead of or as well as pass/fail. Set a unit and an allowed range, or a date rule such as “expires within 30 days”. An answer outside the range fails that step automatically, and the reading is kept in the check’s history.
  • Create check groups as you go: Add a new check group straight from the check schedule form without leaving the page. Check groups now work for lift and trail checks as well as asset checks.

🔧 Improvements

  • The right access for new team members: When someone is added to your resort, invited or joins, they now get the module access that matches their role. Managers get full access to every module. Patrollers and dispatchers can log incidents and use Training Passport and Jobs straight away, without a manager having to adjust their access first.
  • Monthly checks on any day: Monthly checks can now be set for the 29th, 30th or 31st. In shorter months they run on the last day of the month, and choosing the 31st means the last day of every month.
  • Export and print lift and trail check history: Lift and trail check history can now be downloaded as a spreadsheet or printed, the same as asset checks.
  • Easier-to-read dropdowns: Long names in dropdown lists now show in full instead of being cut off, so similar names are easier to tell apart.
  • Security updates: We installed an urgent security update on the servers that run Medic52 and replaced them in every region, with no downtime. We also tightened the checks that keep each resort’s files and check records visible only to that resort’s team.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Lift and trail checks now appear in the check lists and in check history. Before, the list could say “Nothing here” even when checks were scheduled.
  • The Passed and Failed columns on the Checks list now show how many steps passed and failed, instead of 0.
  • Checks scheduled “every 2 days” or “every 3 months” (any interval above 1) now fall on the right days. Some were landing a day off their cycle.
  • Deleting a check schedule now removes it from Due Today and every check tab. Completed checks stay in the item’s history.
  • The resolve screen for a failed lift or trail check now opens.
  • Downloaded and printed check history now shows who completed each check and their comment. These columns were blank before.
  • A check can no longer be completed twice, for example after a double-click. The first answers are kept.
  • Mark as operational on several checks at once now only changes checks that are due. A check that has already failed keeps its result, so it’s still resolved with a reason.
  • Printed incident reports now show accented characters correctly, so French forms and names with é, è, ç or ë print exactly as entered.
  • The lift report no longer fails when one of the lifts in the date range has since been deleted. A deleted lift or trail now also leaves the incident form lists and the map straight away.
  • The live lift and trail status on your resort website no longer breaks when a lift, trail or area name contains a character such as “&”.
  • Analytics figures are more accurate. Incidents are counted once, under the resort and team they belong to.
  • Old bookmarks to the Medic52 home page now take you to your usual start page instead of an old placeholder page.
