The Sign On system records who is on shift, on what radio call-sign, and in which area. Sign on at the start of your shift and sign off at the end. You can do this on the web platform or in the Medic52 mobile app — whichever you have to hand.
Before you begin
- You need a Medic52 login (email and password). See How do I sign in to the Medic52 mobile app?
- Your resort decides which sign-on questions you answer — these vary by organisation.
How do I sign on using the web?
1. Sign in at app.medic52.com.
2. Click Sign On in the menu.
3. Answer your resort’s sign-on questions accurately.
4. Enter your radio call-sign and select the area you are assigned to.
5. Click Sign On.
To sign off at the end of your shift, click Sign Off in the menu and confirm.
How do I sign on using the mobile app?
1. Open the Medic52 app and go to the Shift tab.
2. Choose the area you are working, enter your radio call-sign, and confirm you are fit for duty.
3. Tap Sign on.
While you are on shift, the Shift tab shows a green On shift status with a running timer of how long you have been signed on. To sign off, open the Shift tab and tap Sign off.

Can I sign on in one place and sign off in another?
Yes. Your shift status is shared between the web and the app, so you can sign on in one and sign off in the other. See Can I sign on and off with different devices?
What if I have no signal when I sign on in the app?
The app records your sign-on straight away and syncs it to Medic52 when your connection returns. Your area list may be unavailable until you are back online. See Does the Medic52 mobile app work offline?
