What’s New in 6.0.0

This is our biggest release ever. The entire Medic52 dashboard has been rebuilt on a brand-new design — cleaner, faster, and easier to read at a glance, whether you’re in a warm office or squinting at a screen in a snowstorm. We’ve also added two-factor authentication and one-tap magic-link login to keep your resort’s data locked down. On top of that: draw your own map boundaries, group crews on the fly for events, and a fully redesigned way to manage who can access what.

✨ New Features

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) — You can now protect your account with an authenticator app. Resorts can require 2FA for everyone, adding a serious layer of security around patient and incident data.
  • Magic-link login — Sign in from a link sent straight to your email — no password to remember or type on a cold chairlift.
  • A whole new look — Every screen in the dashboard has been redesigned from the ground up. Lists, forms, the sidebar, incidents, training, lifts, trails, controlled substances and settings all share one clean, consistent design that’s quicker to scan and works the same everywhere.
  • Draw boundaries directly on the map — You can now trace out areas and location boundaries by drawing them straight onto the map, so your map matches the real shape of your terrain and buildings.
  • Group crews on the fly — The dispatch map now lets you build ad-hoc teams during operations — ideal for events and races where crews form and change on the day. The map sidebar is now full-height with built-in search, so you can find any location, team or incident fast.
  • Rebuilt user management — Managing who can access which resort is now far simpler. Grant or revoke a person’s access to a resort in a couple of clicks, and set their role per resort.
  • Redesigned sign-on — Signing on for a shift is now a clean, guided dialog, available in both English and French, with your shift details laid out clearly.
  • Searchable dropdowns everywhere — Long lists of members, departments, assessors and locations are now searchable type-ahead pickers instead of fiddly dropdowns — start typing and pick.

🔧 Improvements

  • Easier-to-read typeface across the app — We’ve switched the whole dashboard to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a font designed specifically for maximum readability, along with bigger tap targets and clearer focus outlines throughout.
  • Faster, cleaner lists — Every list screen now has instant live search, consistent pagination, and a control to choose how many rows you see at once.
  • Redesigned training passport & dashboard — The training dashboard, competency view, passport and assessment wizard have all been rebuilt to be clearer and easier to work through.
  • Redesigned lift & trail boards — The lift status board now includes a live status overview at a glance, and trail and lift boards share a consistent, easier-to-read layout.
  • Smarter controlled-substances checkout — When checking out a substance, you’re now only offered substance-and-location combinations that actually hold stock, so you can’t pick something that isn’t there.
  • Clearer confirmations — Deleting or removing something now brings up a clear, consistent confirmation dialog instead of a basic browser pop-up.
  • French throughout the new design — Every part of the redesigned interface is fully translated, so bilingual resorts get the same polished experience in English and French.
  • Stronger data isolation — We’ve further hardened the walls between resorts so each resort’s data stays completely separate from every other resort on the platform.
  • Improved patient-data security — We’ve strengthened how patient information is protected across our systems, keeping sensitive data safer end to end.
  • A faster, more secure foundation — We’ve upgraded the core technology the whole platform runs on, delivering better speed and security across every part of Medic52.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the dispose/relocate button on the controlled substances stock page.
  • Incident form repeater fields (the ones you can add multiple of) are now editable the first time you open a record, without needing to reload.
  • Fixed a case where the controlled-substances edit screen showed a blank title.
  • Fixed status-report CSV exports so they no longer break when some injury fields are empty.
  • Numerous layout, spacing and pagination fixes across the redesigned screens.
