2015 World Ski Patroller Survey Report

Description

The inaugural year of the Ski Patroller Survey delivered 634 responses from patrollers in 23 countries. 396 were volunteers, and 234 were paid, full or part-time.  The largest populations to respond were Australia/New Zealand, Canada, France, Sweden and the United States.

We asked about:

• The financials of being a patroller, salary, spend on gear, and volunteer support
• Education and qualifications
• Injury at work
• Gear, technology and what is supplied by employer’s
• Work locations, tasks and team size
• Dispatch, medical and patrol facilities
• Problems, pains, loves and likes
• National, regional and employer problems

Questions are analyzed and broken down to total population, by patroller type and by country.
